These included Saint Christopher, Saint Martin, Saint Barthélemy, and Saint Croix. However, the Order struggled to maintain its foothold due to logistical difficulties, financial burdens, and threats from rival European powers. Ultimately, in 1665, the Knights sold their Caribbean holdings back to the French.
