The foundation of the Wisselbank of Amsterdam was an historical feat of our society and merchant class. However, what started as a way to strictly control the value of money has been changing over the years, adding more and more exceptions to the rule - when not directly bending them. To the surprise of no one, the previously very highly respected institution has lost its past prestige and is considered a corrupted place.
Now, however, the economic difficulties our nation is facing forces us to look back at the institution in a last attempt of recover its past prestige and, in the process, our own economy.
