Roman Lawbringers
Since the fall of the once great Roman Empire, their systems of law and order have been in decay all across Europe. This was considered inevitable until the re-discovery of the Justinian Code three hundred years ago. Since then, Roman Law has been slowly seeping into the studies of our universities. This led to great strides in our legal strata, such as the Great Ordinance and The Establishments of Saint Louis. But we can always push things further. Ordering our legal system to further copy Roman Law would take away power from Feudal Lords and centralize them towards the state.

However, opposition from Feudal Lords who rightfully saw this as a threat, alongside how complex Roman Law was to the more ad-hoc systems of the time, caused its implementation to be a slow and gradual one which would last until the Early Modern period.
