The Target Dynasty banking family, bitter rivals of the Dynasty family and the Ruler Title, have conspired to overthrow the Flavor Rank's government and install themselves as rulers of Country. Many of the most powerful figures in Country Adjective politics are participants in this vile plot, ranging from merchants to clergymen to nobles.
The Target Dynasty plan to assassinate Ruler during High Mass at the Duomo, and then to capture the Palazzo della Signoria and seize the reins of government. Should the conspiracy fail, however, most of the political enemies of the Flavor Rank would be branded as criminals and the Dynasty would therefore rule practically unopposed.
