The Canterbury Tales
A collection of twenty-four stories written in Middle English called The Canterbury Tales have been published by Geoffrey Chaucer. They depict the story of a group of pilgrims traveling together from Target Location to the shrine of St Thomas Becket in Canterbury, portraying the different social classes of the 14th century.
Such an astounding work of medieval literature could be a great contribution to the popularization of the English vernacular in mainstream literature. The tales, however, appear to be an incomplete work.
