Since Edward, the monarchs of Country have uniquely possessed a miraculous healing power known as the 'royal touch', usually performed on dozens of people in large ceremonies. The only other monarchs who have ever demonstrated such an ability have been those of France.
Upon stroking a person infected with scrofula — a disease in which a large abscess grows on the neck — the Ruler Title cures the illness, and the afflicted returns to normal health.
As the divine powers are gifted by God only to those who have the hereditary right to the throne, performance of the ritual will be indisputable proof that Ruler is the rightful Ruler Title.
