Birth of the Wú School
With China freed from Yuán rule, many artists have been drawn to our Court Title. However, a group of them wishes to forge their own path. Rather than serve in the capital, they plan to form a collective: the Wú School. Led by Target Character, this movement emphasizes personal expression over ornamental artistry.

The only few that did not were the masters of the Wú school from the old capital. Being the opposite of the Zhè school, it mainly consisted of amateur painters, the literati, and numerous scholars, of which it served as a way of self expression rather than their conservative counterparts, who focused on a more academic style.
