New Testament Translated into Spanish
A Castilian humanist with the name of Target Artist has recently joined the circle of Lutheran reformers in Wittenberg after his studies brought him in contact with the ideas of the Reformation. He spent his time translating the New Testament into Spanish and sent a print of his work addressed and dedicated to Target Character. With our review of the work, it is clear that a widespread publication of this translation could lead to more of our people embracing the ideas of Lutheranism.

248historical_info = flavor_cas.4.historical_info Born into a wealthy merchant family, Francisco de Enzinas studied together with his brother Diego at the Collegium Trilingue of Louvain, where he came into contact with the humanist scholarship and began translating works of the Reformation into the Spanish language. In 1541 he enrolled at the University of Wittenberg where he translated the New Testament into Spanish. He dedicated this work to Emperor Charles V and sent the first printed copy to him.
