To address this inefficiency, advisors have proposed the expanding the institution to the southern part of the Flavor Rank. Target Location has been proposed due to its strategic location south of the Tagus River, which would also divide their jurisdiction. The north would be governed by Chancery Location and the south by Target Location.

This expansion of the instution was given authority south of the Tagus River. However, the institution was short-lived. By 1500, it was decided to transfer the Audiencia to Granada, a city of rising importance after the 1492 conquest. The transfer was completed in 1505 by order of Queen Juana.
