Leyes Nuevas
The Laws of Burgos have proven as an insufficient Legal Code for our colonial possessions in America. Reports of abuse of the native population are common and our Clergy frequently complains that the benefactors of the Encomienda System obstruct their missionary work. If we are to administrate these vast lands efficiently we need to draft a new set of laws and enforce them more strictly on our colonists.
