Guelfos e Gibelinos
Os Guelfos e Gibelinos lutam pelo domínio da Itália há séculos, desde que a Querela das Investiduras colocou o Igreja Católica Leader Title contra o Sacro Império Romano Leader Title. Os Guelfos apoiam a autoridade romano na península, enquanto os Gibelinos são considerados lealistas imperiais fiéis ao Sacro Império Romano. Mas essas questões vão muito além de seus posicionamentos iniciais, e os dois lados agora representam diversos interesses. Não é incomum que os diferentes países mudem de lado, se isso puder beneficiá-los.
