Ever present in our state is the fear that some individuals who profess to believe in all aspects of our state Church are still secretly Catholicism sympathizers. One noble family in particular, though firmly entrenched in the machinery of the state, is said to have Papist inclinations. As the years drag on, these rumors refuse to die and now seem almost impossible for us to ignore.
