Ever since our conflict with Henrik, the region of Italy has seen its fair share of war and struggle for dominance between the Guelphs and the Ghibellines. While we hoped the conflict would end conclusively with the ousting of the Hohenstaufen in southern Italy, the Ghibellines still cling towards their strongholds and their hopeless cause.
