Rerouting Revenue
To finance an expansion of the Timariot system, clever advisors have suggested that we could reroute some revenue from the Waqf, the mosque-based foundations that support charity towards the wretched and forlorn. This would certainly strengthen our army even further, and reduce the power of the Clergy, but might cause widespread discontent once the more pious segments of the people learn about it.
