Piri Reis, a relative of our old naval commander Ahmed, is a former privateer and skilled navigator, who could be suitable for promotion. Though he is a cartographer as well, with a keen interest in the recent discoveries of new lands beyond the Western Ocean, he claims to only dabble in that art, and would rather serve us as an admiral than an explorer.
