4688historical_info = flavor_tur.70.historical_info Ahmed Kemaleddin, known to posterity as Kemal Reis, was a privateer, and later admiral, who took part in many important Ottoman engagements. He began his career with the naval mission during the fall of Granada, and later fought in the Ottoman-Venetian wars among others. He was also the uncle of the famous cartographer Piri Reis, who accompanied him on several of his naval missions.
