Development of Greek Folk Music
The lack of a proper nation for the Greek people to live in has led to many of them starting to see Country as their only home. Instead of integrating with our society, however, they are slowly starting to branch out, creating a character distinct enough from Byzantium and our Country Adjective ways. An example is the new folk music styles developed in the numerous towns and villages within the Balkans. Although it is not a unified effort, many of these styles share the same sentiment, speaking about the days of old and the various resistances against foreign threats. Allowing such a style to develop may satisfy the commoners, but it would also mean they will be harder to incorporate within the Flavor Rank.
