The Houses of Wisdom
Library Enthusiast has a passion for learning, and wants to dedicate his/her charitable endeavors to something other than mosques. he/she suggest we invest in a new style of Library, built in a grand and ornate style, but accessible to the public, so that everyone in the Flavor Rank get access to the wisdom it contains. The Burghers would cherish such opportunities, but many among the Nobility are not too fond of the idea, seeing little point in promoting learning among people of lower station.

Though there were many archives, they were not widely accessible, and enormous literary treasures lay forgotten in storerooms like the Cairo Geniza. The Köprülü library, built in Constantinople in 1678, was the first public library in the Middle East, and afterwards, the Tulip Period ushered in a building boom of freestanding libraries with a book depot and a reading room, to various degrees inspired by European classical architecture.
