Modesty in Peril
With the advent of the Tulip Period, there is an increased love for all things from Europe, and especially clothing, which the women of the Court Title have taken to wearing. Many Muslim and Christian women now freely associate with each other, and foreign Western ladies of high rank have made frequent visits to the Country Adjective harem. This might all be harmless, and these new freedoms and delights are greatly enjoyed by the women of the Burghers, but the Clergy are worried about the modesty and humility that all Muslim women should display, and call for a return to stricter norms.
