With chess being popular in both our conquered areas and our neighbors, Target Character has developed a more complex variation of it. Including the standard setup, it also adds different pieces and different starting formations. Many of our courtiers are already playing this variant, claiming that it is more complex and more entertaining than the normal one.

It has three starting formations, the masculine, the feminine, and the third array, whilst containing different pieces such as the vizier, elephant, and war engine. It became dominant in Iran during Timur's time. Although many of the manuscripts are now lost, there is still a rough idea how this variant is played.
