The Lithuanian Nobility of our Flavor Rank are tired of the sad state of the higher learning available in their main cities, and have asked the Jesuits to create a new University in Vilnius or Kaunas.
This is a great opportunity to step up and influence the region. We can send a letter to the bishop of Vilnius and convince him to see this issue as we do.

292historical_info = flavor_pol.4.historical_info Walerian Protasewicz, the bishop of Vilnius, purchased several buildings in the city center and established the Vilnian Academy in 1569. The three divisions at the academy were humanities, philosophy, and theology. In 1570, a library was established, 2500 books were donated to the new college by Sigismund II Augustus, and the first students enrolled in the Academy. Stephen Báthory, King of Poland and Grand Duke of Lithuania granted the academy equal status with the Kraków Academy on April 1, 1579.
