Commissioning the First Theater
The enjoyment of attending a Theater is expanding rapidly throughout the people of Italy, with grand performances captivating audiences in places such as Florence, Venice, and Naples. To ensure that Rome remains at the forefront of cultural and artistic development, it has been proposed that we construct a new Theater in the Target Location Rank. Fortunately, we already have Bernini at our disposal, and his/her architectural brilliance could make this project a masterpiece of Baroque design. However, some members of the Clergy are concerned that such a Theater might encourage unfaithful and decadent art, diverting the faithful from more pious pursuits.

The theater was part of the larger architectural complex surrounding the Church of San Carlo alle Quattro Fontane. It became a center for Baroque theatrical innovation, but was demolished in the early 18th century as a part of Rome's architectural renovation.
