Our beloved Ruler may not have long on this earth, and failure to procure a suitable heir risks throwing Country into political turmoil. It has been suggested that a member of the Ruler Title's council be chosen to take on leadership once the Ruler Title passes away.
Two Nobles are being considered for the daunting task, namely Boris Godunov and Feodor Romanov. They possess similar qualities, but the former enjoys strong support amongst the national assembly. We must decide or risk civil strife upon the passing of the torch.

Following Fyodor's death, with no heirs, Boris secured the throne with the endorsement of the Zemsky Sobor. A contender for the throne was Feodor Romanov, a boyar who was the first of the Romanov dynasty, but he did not enjoy the same support and was confined to a monastery once Boris assumed control.
