Eastern Buddhism has been the state religion and the moral compass of Country for centuries. The influence and status of Buddhism exceed far beyond a mere religion; it has become an organization in itself where members of the Clergy have gained great influence, power and land within our Flavor Rank.
Ever since Country fell to the Mongol invasion, the prominent position of the Clergy has been replaced by the old nobility we once had, forming the estate of the Nobility. However, with the rise of this new estate came also the interest in ancient Chinese literature - and the interest in the teachings of Confucius. A dramatic development in our belief system and our rites might become a future as Confucian ideas spread through our country...
