While the old Nobility of Country has long enjoyed special privileges, some of which have enabled many to live a luxurious lifestyle, Fra Ruler has been making efforts to establish the first ever direct tax on members of the old aristocracy. While many previous tax codes have waived special exemptions for the Nobility, such as the Taille, Fra Ruler's proposal would signal an end to centuries of exemption privileges granted to these elites.
While those in the Nobility will no doubt air grievances towards Fra Ruler, the perpetuation of the Ruler Title may be able to fend off any threats, although a compromise could also be reached like many previous tax codes of the past.
