Target Character and the Military Expenses of the State
Seeking to ensure the security of Country both financially and militarily, Target Character has been lobbying members of the Court Title as well as Fra Ruler to raise a new Gabelle and Taille tax. Military expenses in recent times have proven to be a great strain on the state, and with the evolving innovations, the risk of Country falling behind militarily would leave the state in a precarious situation.
While in the past the Gabelle and Taille have been levied, the proposal set forth by Target Character would generate considerable revenue for the state, and allow for some military reforms. While these reforms could prove helpful, it also brings with it the risk of upsetting the populace with the severity of the tax.
