The continued rise of the Huguenot across France has called into question the authority of the Crown. Despite continued edicts to restrict the practice of the heretical faiths of the Reformation, they have continued to grow and fester in France. Policies once viewed as enforceable have become a mere suggestion by many Huguenot followers. It is only a matter of time before the conflict between the heretical followers escalates to a full blown rebellion against the state.
