Target Character's Voyage
Following the Court Title's interest to sponsor expeditions to the new world, Target Character, a Breton mariner, has caught the attention of the Court Title. While many of the Court Title's attempts to recruit experienced Italian maritime explorers has been met with failure, Target Character experience could prove beneficial in mapping the seas of the new world.

10289historical_info = flavor_fra.312.historical_info Jacques Cartier was one of the first French explorers to reach the new world and map portions of Canada. During early exploration efforts by France, Italian explorers were favored for their expertise, but after being introduced to King Francis by Jean Le Veneur, Jacques would be commissioned to explore and discover a 'western passage' to the markets of Asia, but instead would discover the Gulf of Saint Lawrence. Cartier discovery of Canada would lead to France establishing its first settlement in the new world, Charlesbourg-Royal, in 1541. Charlesbourg-Royal would later be abandoned in 1543 and France would never again establish a permanent colony in the new world until 1605 with Port Royal in Acadia.
