The Compagnie d'Ordonnance
In order to combat the growing raids by previously employed mercenary groups as well the various free companies extorting the Commoners, the Estates General have issued a new law enabling Ruler Fra the sole power to establish a new royal army. Unlike past armies, the new Compagnie d'Ordonnance will answer to Ruler Fra as a standing force, and seek to operate on a permanent basis. Such a force would pave the way to create a standing army for France.
