The Reappropriation of Templar Lands
Strained by the costs of war and national growth, France has been pursuing the successful policy of debt eradication through the eradication of creditors. Since 1306, the gradual dismantling of the Knights Templar through means of prosecution and the manipulation of our assets at Avignon has proven most effective. However, in the decentralized chaos of our operation, some local Nobles have been reappropriating Templar land that we had previously agreed with Avignon to lease to Knights Hospitaller. Of course, the land is sure to be more profitable in the enterprising hands of our young Nobles, but allowing this will displease the Clergy.
