Enlightened philosopher and physicist William Gilbert is currently dedicating himself to scientific experiments on magnetism at Target Location University. Using naturally magnetized minerals, He has deduced that the Earth itself is a giant magnet which would explain the continuous orbit of the moon.
He has summarized his findings in a book titled De Magnete, Magneticisque Corporibus, et de Magno Magnete Tellure, which he is willing to put to print. his ideas, however, are deeply unpopular with the Clergy but his contributions would be of great use to our scientific community.
