Growth of the Cattle Trade
For centuries the Oxen Road has carried armies and merchants to and from Vestjylland. More than anything, however, it is used to bring thousands of cattle to the great market of Wedel, near Hamburg, where the cattle is sold to places all over Northern Germany. With the current growth of the population in northern Europe, we could expand our own participation in the trade of cattle southwards and raise our profits. However, some advisors worry that this will empower our landed Nobility, while decreasing the freedom of the Commoners.
