The recent catastrophic flooding to take place in Cahokia has once again reignited debate to protect the Target Location Rank from future floods. Though much of the inner portions were spared, the outer reaches of Cahokia were greatly damaged, leaving many who lived in the outer regions forced to move inwards. Two warring factions within Our Ruler's inner circle have proposed doubling efforts to fortify the inner portions for the remaining population, though others have suggested great efforts be taken to erect stronger barricades in the affected regions, allowing for the gradual settlement of the outer portions of Cahokia.
