Breaking the Vietnamese Will
A decree has reached our forces in Red River Delta. Target Character decrees that our soldiers should seek out Vietnamese scriptures in order to have them burnt with the only exception to this being Buddhist and Daoist books. Despite this, many soldiers still hesitate and tend to read those before eventually letting the flames engulf the texts.

The coup was followed by a war with the Míng, where the Chinese were able to establish rule in Vietnam under the province of Jiāozhǐ. This occupation lasted until 1428, when the Chinese army was forced to withdraw after years of struggle with Vietnamese Uprisings.
