The Alhambra Decree
With the southern lands of Iberia in our hands we are now faced with a difficult question. Our acquisition of new heathen subjects now pushed the discussion about our Sephardi subjects to the most important topic for Target Character. Some of our advisors, members of the Inquisition, are taking a harsh stance against these people, even voicing their concern about the Sephardi that converted to Catholicism. Expelling the Sephardi people would secure the Catholic rule over Iberia, but might bolster our enemies who would eagerly accept the expelled as their new subjects.
