What was supposed to be a pleasure for everyone in the population of our fair Berlin escalated against the wishes of our Ruler Title. In a well-studied show battle, which was supposed to show the Population of Berlin-Kölln beating their neighbors of Spandau, the participants of Spandau revolted against the outcome and beat our favorites! This rebellion shows their direct disdain for our Ruler Title and should not be tolerated.

1159historical_info = flavor_brapru.19.historical_info A maneuver staged by Elector Joachim II Hektor von Hohenzollern in August 1567 between the inhabitants of Berlin-Kölln and Spandau, a settlement then independent of Berlin itself, came later to be known as Knüppelkrieg when the residents of Spandau rebelled against the Elector's desired outcome, a victory of the Berlin citizens. Pushed by the fervor and intensity of the maneuver the participants on the Spandauer Side went against the desires of the Elector and beat the Berlin-Kölln side decisively. Angered by this outcome, Joachim II Hektor threatened them with cannons, although they were not loaded, and imprisoned the mayor of Spandau for multiple months.
