Shiism and Sunni
Any true believer of Shiism teachings knows that only the heirs of the fourth caliph, 'Alī, are the legitimate successors of Muḥammad, peace be upon him. The followers of the Sunni faith believe that the first four caliphs - Muḥammad's successors - rightfully took his place as the leaders of Islam and they recognize the heirs of the four caliphs as legitimate religious leaders. Meanwhile, we know we have not lived under the authority of a legitimate religious figure since the Twelfth Imām disappeared in 941.
The tension between Sunnism and Shiism in Country has grown over the years and it is only due to the diplomatic corps that so far nothing has happened.
