Religious fervor has gripped Country, as the populace has become convinced that the end of days is drawing near. Peasants are claiming to see signs in the sky and, contrary to the doctrine of the State Church, local priests are giving sermons on the apocalypse. As Millenarianism sweeps the province, blame is being put on the State and the State Church itself, which professes to be Lutheran, yet clearly is not living up to its name.
Official reactions to this unrest have so far been very weak, as even some among the clergy of Capital feel that these fears are justified.
