The Edict of Nantes
Following years of religious turmoil between the Country Adjective Court Title and heretics, a final religious edict will soon be signed by Target Character and put up for approval by the Parliament. Under the Edict of Nantes, heretics will be granted religious rights that no longer deem them persecutable while also lifting religious restrictions imposed on public offices and and institutions.
The previous years have exerted great pressures on the predominantly Country Adjective Nobility and Clergy, and the enactment of such a policy may prove a challenge to the authority of the old elite.
