The Grievances of the Greek
The Greek people have become increasingly influenced by ideas of enlightenment and nationhood, and especially in Balkans, they are growing resentful of Country rule. Traitorous Greek leaders of the Church and of secret societies have now gained enough strength and confidence to call for rebellion, and in Uprising Location, several Turkish settlements have been attacked by angry Greek mobs.

Revolutionary nationalist sentiments grew strong among the Greeks during the 18th century, spurred on by the influences of enlightenment ideas as well as conscious subversive efforts from the Ottoman's European rivals. This led to several uprisings and conflicts, culminating in 1821 in the Greek War of Independence.
