The Bliss of Baklava
The time has come to prepare for the Baklava processions during the fasting month. The Janissaries expect a grand spectacle, and to be given enormous quantities of sweet baklava treats by Target Ruler himself/herself. Every single member of the palace kitchen staff is hard at work preparing baklava for the event, but they complain that there is a shortage of sugar, something they hope the state treasury can address.
