Kemankes has been working diligently on many reforms. he/she wants to expand the navy, while cutting down the army size and focusing on its training and the construction of fortifications in outlying provinces. A larger task would be a reorganization of the Flavor Rank's finances, focused on combating corruption and enforcing state-mandated prices for goods in local markets, which would give greater economical control to the Sublime Porte. But he/she has made many enemies within the Country Adjective harem, who might have to be dealt with if his/her ideas are to be implemented.

11148historical_info = flavor_tur.139.historical_info Kemankeş Kara Mustafa Pasha was both brilliant and ruthless, not unlike some of his adversaries at court. His reforms included cutting down the size of the janissary and Sipâhi corps, and a major attempt at turning the Ottoman economy in a more mercantilist direction. He reorganized the whole country to try and diminish abuses by tax officials against the common people, but also implemented harsh punishments for transgressions against his new policies. But he overreached when he tried to get the janissaries to rise up against queen mother Kösem and other people close to sultan Ibrahim, and was executed in 1644.
