A genre of literature called Nasîhatnâme, Advice for Kings, has grown very popular of late. These books are often written as if they were to be presented to Target Ruler, purporting to advise Target Ruler Him Her Formal in matters such as piety, morality, or political skill. But the authors have also begun to imply that our Flavor Rank is deeply beset by problems, in a wretched state that only providence could alleviate. Are we still to allow these works to flourish?
