Coming from a minor house of the Portuguese Nobility, Target Character rose through the ranks of a holy order, and is now offering his services to our crown to explore further towards India. Having led minor naval engagements already, he seems to be a skilled captain and is well-suited for leading a new expedition.

1254historical_info = flavor_por.22.historical_info Before his famous voyage to India and landing in Kozhikode (Calicut), Vasco da Gama served in the Order of Santiago, which was held in high regard by King João II, former master of the Order himself. Starting his voyage in 1497 with 4 ships, Vasco da Gama would reach India in May 1498 and return to Portugal in 1499. His journey would prove very profitable, bringing back spices and most crucially a new open sea route towards India.
