The Poisonous Regency
The regency of Target Character does not sit well with the Nobility, who have been found to be plotting along with relatives of the late Last Ruler to depose and even assassinate him/her. We must strike before they have time to carry out their plan, or risk throwing Country into political turmoil.

The period was characterized by political intrigues and power struggles within the court, and Elena herself faced challenges from rival boyar factions as well as the brothers of the late Vasili III. She had both brothers arrested and successfully seized their land in the name of her son. Despite their capture, she died in 1538, most likely poisoned by a boyar.
