The Denga and the Ruble
The ability to regulate one's own currency is of utmost importance if we aim to establish ourselves as a great center of trade and commerce. We have the opportunity to create a new set of coins that can either be used solely for domestic transactions, or one that can be used in tradings with our neighbors. There is also the option of minting both types of coin but it would create a steep demand for Silver.

1196historical_info = flavor_mos.10.historical_info Srebrenik were the first coin minted from silver in the Kievan Rus' during the 10th and 11th century. Later, during the times of the Tatar Yoke, a new type of coin called Denga started to be produced, in imitation to the silver coins of the Golden Horde. Although taken from foreign influence, they gradually started gaining more of a Russian form, giving also rise to other types of coins like the Grivna and the Ruble. Originally meant to be an alternative or even a derivate of the Denga and the Grivna, the Ruble ended up becoming the primary currency during the 14th and 15th centuries.
