Legitimization of Country Adjective Rule
Although Old Ashikaga Ruler established the new Flavor Rank, it has largely been seen as illegitimate by many of the Nobility of Japan due to its treatment of the Yamato family. Seeking to further legitimize the ruling Dynasty, Kanrei Council Leader has moved to encourage Our Ruler's participation in the ancient ranking system. Being one of the cornerstones of Imperial traditions, should Our Ruler show respect for the process, it may strengthen his/her legitimacy in the eyes of the elite.
