The Code Louis
Seeking to unify the laws of the land, Fra Ruler alongside many of his/her closest advisors in the Court Title have finalized the creation of the Code Louis, the first attempt for a unified legal code across all of Country. For centuries, Country has existed with two perpetual, co-existing legal systems, with the northern provinces being governed by old customary laws, while in the southern provinces Roman civil laws serve as the primary legal code.
While the Code Louis would see Country legal code unified, some advisors have urged caution in rushing its implementation, as some provinces, especially southern ones previously governed by Roman Law, may face hurdles to adopt the new legal code.
