Güelfos y gibelinos
Los Güelfos y los Gibelinos llevan siglos luchando por el dominio en Italia, desde que la controversia de las investiduras enfrentó a la dignidad de Iglesia católica Leader Title y al Sacro Imperio Romano Leader Title. Los Güelfos apoyan la autoridad de Roma sobre la península, mientras que los Gibelinos se consideran partidarios del imperio y juran lealtad al Sacro Imperio Romano. Pero, a partir de sus posiciones iniciales, ambos bandos representan ahora una diversidad de intereses, por lo que ningún país descarta cambiar de bando si eso le conviene.
